Finally weekend. The Steely Dan assignment is handed in and the band is starting to sounds pretty sweet for the Acid Jazz gig in 1,5 weeks. This has not really been a week of catching up on sleep, but really the opposite. So I'm giving myself this weekend off all work without feeling guilty. Though I might still do some if I feel like it. 

Always feels weird after handing in an assignment, but always such a sweet relief! 
It's friday and I have no clue what I'm gonna do tonight, though I'm staying away from parties for sure.

Today was good. Four long hours of rehearsal, but the set is starting to sound nice and it's great to finally put in some backing vocals. 

I've been very proactive with my Steely Dan assignment and with a little help from a friend I'm now more or less done.. My only problem now is that I have two versions of the same song. And I have no idea of which one to choose. 

I went for a 5 km run tonight too. All fine until the last kilometer when me knee started hurting big time... and silly me pushed through until I harldy could walk. So now I will just see what it feels like tomorrow.

And now it's 1.30 am and I have my band rehearsal in 8.5 hours.. Grrreat. Shower and bed. Pronto.

Okay... it took me the WHOLE weekend to recover from tht party on Friday. And I ended up with a cold. But I am not hanging any lips. 

Went to meet up with these guys last night to see if I might join them for their project, and I will probably do so if everything goes well next time we meet up and we'll record some things. 

I have my first band rehearsal today at 5 pm as well. I'm very excited about this, I can't even tell... though my keyboard player cannot make it in the end. Oh well.. 

I just got some feedback from my composition teacher... so I'm gonna do some Steely Dan before I shower off this mess.

I'm am absolutely broken today. 

The party was good, and for some reason I found myself still pouring drinks at 8 am this morning. Good times indeed. Cleaning up wasn't that aweful but now I'm feeling so broken I can't even think. My body proper hates on me right now. Totally worth it though. 

Been doing not much and now I'm gonna move over to the bed and to even less than that. And that's all I have to say right now. Boom.

Today I started my new training, German Body Composition. I love it. And hope that I can really feel it tomorrow. 

As for in a bit I'm going out for some drinks. Treating myself with a night off since I did pretty good with work my assignment, though I got stuck today. Ah I just want a glas of wine. Speaking with Emilie to get in the mood!

Steely poo

As soon as I tried to put my piano voicings into horn arrangement I started hated on Steely Dan again. Why doing this? Steely Dan didn't even really use horns that much! I like the piano version waaay better!

It's almost 2.30 am and I'm on the study hype. 
I've been skyping with my friend from Sweden for probabaly 3 hours.
He's pretty talented and funny, which was a very good combination for tonights topic....

Steely freaking Dan is coming together, finally. And I'm pretty damn happy with what it sounds like. So if I don't get good grades for this I don't know what's gonna happen. I should go to bed, but I'm a little bit scared that this flow will go away when the sun comes up. Still a lot of work to do, but from what I have I am happy as a happy bird can be. But I'll that the risk.

Proper Sunday

Raae did such a proper clean of the kitchen today, it looks amazing. I cleaned the hall way and stair way, and hoovered both or maries and my room. And in the meanwhile I cooked this amazing chilli con carne. Took about 3 hours and tasted might fine. Got into the whole Mad Men mood for our party on Friday.

I said to myself that I will start my Steely Dan before 7 pm, and I'm sticking to that plan. So now I have one hour to do some singing and whatever else I feel like.

Sunny Saturday

Hello people. 

Last night I sat in my room watching all these prison documentaries.. I don't know why I got into it, but I spent a good amount of time doing it. 

It's a sunny day here in London and Raae and I are gonna go for a run in a bit. First one this year for me, exciting stuff. Then of course, I will practice my acid jazz songs and work on my Steely Dan, and do a little work for the Music Business group I'm in.

Tonight I'm going over to Nancy's to chill and hopefully enjoy a glass of wine! But first thing first.
